Hi friends, I feel like this past month as flown by! At the end of April, Windy City Blogger Collective hosted our very first photography workshop and it was a huge success with over 30+ member/non-member attendees! So much so, we already have members asking us to do another this Summer! Basically our goal was to host a 3-hour workshop that focused on everything and anything photography-related, whether that was styling, phone photography, DSLR photography and even Lightroom editing.
We were lucky enough to be able to put on the event thanks to a lot of awesome sponsors including our friends at Bangtel. What is Bangtel? They're a design and hospitality company who specializes in decorating only the coolest spaces in Chicago. If you read my last post on my trip to Miami you probably know by now I have a love/hate relationship with Airbnb. Don't get me wrong Airbnb is cool but Bangtel is even cooler. If you're looking for a Chicago staycation or a stylish weekend getaway you will definitely want to check them out!
What I love most is that Bangtel's headquarters are right here in Chicago. They have a team of interior designers that work hard to create a unique theme to each and every one of their loft/event spaces. And no need to fret if you're not planning a trip to Chicago any time soon, they have spaces all over the country: Los Angles, New York, Miami, Austin, and even Mexico!
When Windy City Blogger Collective was looking for a place to host our workshop, Bangtel literally came to the rescue. We were searching high and low to find a space that would be photo-friendly but also big enough for our group. That's where El Motel Bangtel Tres came into play - this space is a Western meets Midwest-style loft located in the artsy neighborhood of Logan Square of Chicago.
It has a total of four bedrooms and two bathrooms which perfectly accommodates up for 13 guests - but in our case 30+ attendees were comfortable and able to spread out to work on the photography skills in different sections of the space.
You can tell they have taken every detailed design aspect into account to make the each room feel unique and special. Seriously, they've got me wishing I could host my sister's bachelorette party in one of these awesome pads. How amazing would that be?!
This fiesta-style room was definitely my favorite with the bright-colored statement wall and array of party ready piñatas!
Hopefully I will be able to visit another one of their spaces in the near future. And if you're ever in Chicago, I highly suggest checking out Bangtel's wide variety of accommodations, booking one of these bad boys will make your next trip even that much more memorable!
Have you ever heard of Bangtel? Or know any other cool spots in the city? Let me know below!
P.S. If case you missed it, last week I got to interview Natalie Reece of @wordsmeetwalls - by far one of my favorite interviews!
