A few weeks back, Rob and I explored a few buildings via the Open House Chicago. If you haven’t heard of it, the Chicago Architectural Foundation put togethers a list of building in the city that open up for the public on one very special week.
I remember two years ago, I saw a sign for the event in Gold Coast and was immediately intrigued. After a little bit of Google research, I immediately wanted to join in on the festivities. Well, unfortunately, last year I was unable to explore the site but finally this year I convinced Rob to check out a few places off the list.
If you want to make the most of your trip, it’s important to plan out your route ahead of time. Luckily, the Open House Chicago website has a very comprehensive guide that shows you times the buildings are open and where they are located on conveniently in the city. You can find the archive of building on the 2018 list here.
Looking forward to going again next year and you should too!
