It's M-O-N-D-A-Y.
Yeah I'm excited. Call me crazy but I'm kind of a fan of Mondays. It's one of my most productive days. If you read one of my more recent posts, I talked about how I was trying to get back into the groove of writing so I've been starting posts with:
Today I noticed that...
I've become obsessed with podcasts. Seriously. I've listened to three Small Town Murder podcasts tonight alone. Granted, I've only recently dived into the podcast abyss ever since I found the Low Res Studio podcast called The Creative Muscle. I was extremely interested in picking the brains of other creatives and wanted to get more into a creative flow. It was interesting to hear all different artists from different mediums come together and talk about their creative process.
Recently my boyfriend suggested we listen to Presidential which (pretty self-explanatory) goes into depth about a variety of United States presidents. I'm not ashamed to say I don't know a lot about each president. But it's so interesting to hear each one of the their backstories and how they shaped what our government is today. The episodes themselves are a little lengthy but they are definitely worth it.
Happier is another great one. It's hosted by Gretchen Rubin, author of The Happiness Project, and her sister, "The Sage". Each week they talk about a simple task you can do to make your life easier.
Somehow after listening to Happier I made my way over to Small Town Murders. Even though I usually steer clear of anything murder-related, especially scary movies, I'm hooked. They approach each case in a humorous way which seems odd and it's a little hard to explain but it brings a little light-heartedness to a rather dark topic. Each episode they start by talking about the demographic of the area where the murder takes place and give back story on the murderer themselves.
PODCASTS YOU SHOULD LISTEN TO:
1. Presidential
2. Happier
Have you ever listened to any of these? What did you think? Feel free to send me any suggestions!
Have a great week! xx
